Our playgroup provides fun, structured activities using an age appropriate curriculum designed to foster school readiness in children birth to 5 years old. During the summer months, your school age siblings can participate as well.
Possible actives include:
- Arts & Crafts
- Field Trips
- Child Developmental Screenings
- Social Emotional Screenings
- School Readiness Assessments
Playgroup provides a safe environment for children to play, learn valuable social skills to interact with others their age, learn how to transition from activities and turn taking. Parents are provided an opportunity to socialize with their peers, gain a valuable peer support group, increase knowledge of child development, and receive information on local resources.
Playgroup meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30AM – 11:00AM in Divide at Community Partnership. Check current monthly calendar for possible time or location change.
A typical playgroup day looks like:
- Free play with other children and socialization with other parents
- Clean up
- Structures activity, game, craft, guest speaker, or field trip
- Snack at the tables
- Clean up
- Music time and Good bye
We also partner with The Resource Exchange where we can refer children for further evaluation for free.
Feedback from Playgroup Parents:

“Great environment to allow for social connections between parents and children. It also provides for different educational opportunities by bringing in special community guests.”
