Playgroup Facebook Page

Our playgroup provides fun, structured activities using an age appropriate curriculum designed to foster school readiness in children ages 0-5.

Services include:

  • Child Developmental
  • Social Emotional Screenings
  • School Readiness Assessments
  • Field Trips
  • Snacks
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Music
  • Math and Literacy

Parents are provided an opportunity to socialize with their peers and receive information on local resources. It is a great time to meet other families, introduce your child to other children, prepare them for school, and learn new, fun activities to do at home.  Meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30AM – 11:00AM in Divide at Community Partnership, unless otherwise posted.

Structured time includes:

  • Free play with other children and socialization with other parents
  • Clean up
  • Structures activity, game, craft, guest speaker, or field trip.
  • Story
  • Snack at the tables
  • Music time
  • Good bye and clean up

We also partner with The Resource Exchange where we can refer children for further evaluation for free.

“The socialization the playgroup offers is very important for the rural families that attend. Great Place!”

“Great environment to allow for social connections between parents and children. It also provides for different educational opportunities by bringing in special community guests.”

Parents as Teachers

Parents as Teachers helps all children enter school ready to learn. Children who are prepared for kindergarten continue to do well in the early grades of elementary school, are more likely to graduate from high school and to go on to be successful in life. Parents who participate in Parents as Teachers are more confident about their parenting and are more involved in their children’s schooling…a key component of a child’s success in school.
